CPC members in Russell Islands commended for their good work
Acting Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Province, Inspector Hugo Maelasi recently visited police at Yandina in the Russell Islands to thank the officers and members of the Yandina Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) for their effort in preventing crime during the festive season.
Speaking at a meeting held with the police officers and members of the CPC, Inspector Maelasi says, “I want to thank my officers and the Yandina CPC members for a job well done for making the festive season crime free for the community at Yandina.”
PPC Maelasi adds: “Thank you to the CPC members for assisting my officers at Yandina during the Christmas and New Year operations. The level of commitment shown was outstanding in terms of upholding the law and order in our community. I also want to thank my officers for working very closely with you.”
During the meeting T- shirts were handed over to the 25 CPC members.
During the same meeting Officer Commanding Station (OIC) for Yandina Police Station, Staff Sergeant Thomas Fakatonu told the CPC members: “You have shown that you are willing to offer yourselves to serve our people here in Yandina in terms of law and order. Thank you for your time, dedication and commitment throughout the Festive season operation. You have proven yourselves through your dedication as crime free advocators in the community of Yandina and the Russell Islands as a whole. Let us look forward to continuing this cooperation during this year 2019.”
