Titinge fatal accident investigated

Police in Guadalcanal Province is investigating a fatal accident at Titinge II Ridge, North West Guadalcanal on 10 February 2019 during which one person died and three critically injured.

The accident involved a double cabin Hilux.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province, Superintendent Nixson Manetoga says, “The three injured persons are currently receiving medical attention at the National Referral Hospital and their condition is allegedly reported to be stable.”

PPC Manetoga says, “The hilux was travelling up the hill to Titinge II Ridge when the vehicle reversed and fell into the valley.”

“The driver was tested with Radom Breath Test (RBT) and but no alcohol was present in his blood. The driver has been formally arrested and charged for causing death by reckless and dangerous driving and placed in custody for further dealings,” says Mr Manetoga.
